Indian robotics startup Miko has raised $10.5 million from iHeartMedia, a leading US-based audio and media company. With this funding, Miko will be bringing iHeartMedia’s audio content to its AI robots designed for children. This investment aims to make Miko’s learning experience more engaging, music-based, and educational for children.
Miko currently develops AI-powered robots that can communicate with children, read them stories, play games, and answer their questions. As part of the new partnership, children will be able to access music, podcasts and stories directly from Miko’s robots. In addition, iHeartMedia has an extensive library of audio content that will now be available on Miko’s platform.


The Mumbai-based company already sells its robots in more than 140 countries, including the United States, the UK, and the UAE. According to Miko, this partnership will be a key step toward increasing access to their robots globally and providing high-quality English & Regional Audio Content to consumers of their product.
Miko plans to use these new funds to create higher-quality content, advance its AI Technology, and introduce new features to enhance the robot’s user interaction capabilities. This will allow the robots to communicate with children more naturally and respond to them. The team is also looking forward to enhancing the functionality of their robot to deliver personalised educational experiences to each individual child.
This latest investment from iHeartMedia adds to Miko’s earlier funding from global investors and venture funds. In addition, it has further solidified Miko’s status as a leading AI-based startup in the Indian robotics and Ed-tech industry. The company believes that utilising AI and audio storytelling will make learning both more innovative and more imaginative for young people.
