Aadit Palicha and Kaivalya Vohra’s story begins from the corridors of Stanford University, where both were studying computer science. Stuck in Mumbai at 19, they observed a significant problem: offline supermarkets were closed and online delivery was slow, typically taking a week or even longer. Instead of waiting for solutions to come, they themselves started finding some solutions to help their elderly neighbours who were finding it difficult to order groceries. The Solution they came up with was making of a WhatsApp group where they can order. This humble beginning soon evolved into KiranaKart, and in 2021, they introduced Zepto—ensuring grocery delivery within minutes.

What Made Them The Trailblazers of The Startup World
What sets Kaivalya and Aadit apart is their fearless attitude as well as their ability to relate to their customers. Dropping out of Stanford at 19 to pursue their dream required a lot of courage, but their vision was clear, which was to fix real problems quickly. They built Zepto with a focus on customer trust and convenience. They also have many small warehouses nearby to deliver orders in just a few minutes. Their entrepreneurial spirit pushed them to extend beyond groceries, adding innovative services like Zepto Cafe and farmer-direct-connecting programs. This combination of ambition, empathy, and ceaseless innovation has been the key to their rapid success.
Why Their Journey Inspired
Their story is a reminder to everyone that there is no age limit to changing the world. All you need is a dedication to serve the people, and automatically, you will find solutions that can shake the whole system. Dropouts are never easy and especially when your dropout is accompanied by COVID. Nevertheless, they weren’t afraid to take risks, which kept them going and reaching heights. Problems arise, solution. If we weren’t suffering at that time, then we could have never gotten Zepto.
