Anand Mahindra completed his MBA in Harvard in 1981. He joined the Mahindra Ugine Steel Company Ltd. in 1981, in the capacity of an executive assistant to the Finance Director. In 1997 he took over as the Managing Director of Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. and subsequently as Chairman of the company in 2012.

Under his leadership, the company entered new industries and markets. He encouraged collaboration between technology and manufacturing, turning Mahindra into one of India’s strongest brands.

Mahindra Education Trust, aims to educate underprivileged girls in remote areas throughout India.
