Bengaluru-headquartered startup Rocket.new has announced the close of a $15 million seed funding round to expand its AI-powered app development platform. The round was led by Salesforce Ventures, with participation from Accel and Together Fund. The all-equity raise marks one of the largest early-stage investments in India’s growing AI startup ecosystem this year.
Rocket.new’s platform introduces what it calls “vibe-coding”, a system where users can build fully functional applications by typing natural language prompts. Unlike earlier AI coding tools that often produced prototypes or code snippets, Rocket.new’s system aims to generate production-ready applications, reducing development cycles from months to days.
According to the founders, the funding will be used to scale product development, strengthen its AI infrastructure, and expand into new markets. The startup has already launched in beta mode in June 2025 and claims rapid early adoption among developers and enterprises.

Rocket.new was founded by a team of engineers and entrepreneurs with experience in enterprise SaaS, developer tools, and AI research. The founders have not only built the technology but also framed a vision around making AI app development platforms accessible to both coders and non-coders.
“Rocket.new was started with the belief that building software should be as easy as expressing an idea,” said the founders. “We want to give more people the tools they need to turn their ideas into working products without having to wait months for them to be developed.”
The AI vibe-coding technology is powered by large-scale models trained to understand not only programming languages but also application design logic, workflows, and user experience. The company says this approach can reduce the barrier to entry for startups and enterprises that need to ship digital products quickly.
While India remains the immediate focus, Rocket.new has global ambitions. The company says it is already in discussions with enterprises in the US, Europe, and Southeast Asia. With Salesforce Ventures as a lead investor, access to global markets may come sooner than expected.

Investors backing Rocket.new highlight the broader trend of capital flowing into AI-first startups in India. “We see Rocket.new as part of a wave of Indian companies that can compete globally in AI,” one investor said.
The motto is clear for the founders: the opportunity is massive, but execution will be key. With strong backing and early adoption, Rocket.new enters its next phase with a great momentum.
This ability to move beyond prototypes makes Rocket.new stand out.
“We are not building just another low-code platform,” the team said. “Our technology goes further by turning high-level intent into full-stack applications that are secure, scalable, and ready to deploy.”
Rocket.new’s $15 million seed round is not just another funding headline. It represents a new chapter in India’s AI journey. By creating a production-ready AI coding platform, the startup is tackling one of the most pressing needs in global tech: faster, cheaper, and more accessible software creation.
