Aswini Bajaj went from being a teacher to a finance scholar and then built a finance learning platform that reached 50,000 students globally. He believes that financial literacy should be accessible to all, regardless of background, and continues to teach through every opportunity he gets, from offline platforms to conducting guest lectures at business schools. Aswini has also been honored with several prestigious awards as a teacher, recognized widely.
Aswini Bajaj, a financial expert from Kolkata, holds 13 degrees in the financial field. He is renowned for pursuing 13 degrees in finance and worked as a Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA, USA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM, USA), and has many other qualifications and certificates from NISM, CMT, and others. According to him, these aren’t just certificates but a deep passion for financial knowledge. He believes that “You can compete globally if you skill up smartly.”
After completing his B.Com, as a CA aspirant, Aswini started giving tuitions for extra income in 2012. Within a year, he was employed in the Vedanta Group of Companies, but his passion for teaching persisted, even if part-time. But his zeal to teach proved stronger- he quit his job to pursue it.
To establish his reach, he started collaborating with training and lectures at B-schools. By 2016, he got his recognition and became the CEO of Leveraged Growth, a firm of research advisory, consulting, corporate training, learning, and development. Till now, he has served as a guest lecturer at over 130 B schools(including 30+ IITs and IIMs). Flourishing his knowledge further, he started a YouTube channel for people who have a keen interest in finance. His mantra for self-growth is by leveraging people’s failures and surrounding oneself with like-minded people and things, as he believes,” You are the sum total of the books you read and the people you surround yourself with.”
Aswini Bajaj prioritizes emotions over money; for him, students come first, as their career is at stake, and money is just a byproduct. He believes,” Money may not add happiness, but the lack of it certainly multiplies misery.” He is passionate about his work, which eventually brings him money.
Aswini’s vision is to bridge the gap between education and practical application in finance, and shares, “We’re not just about exams. We exist to equip students from all walks of life with life lessons and a mindset to invest in themselves.” Under the parent company, Leveraged Growth, he started Aswini Bajaj classes, an ed tech venture worth ₹150 crore. His passion led him to be awarded Best Trainer in Finance in 2021 for a record of training the most people in India, and he entered his name in the” International Book of Records.”
With the belief,” Invest in yourself,” Aswini continues to be the epitome of inspiration for others. He continues to reach milestones, and the opportunity to be a Speaker at TEDx IMT Hyderabad humbled him in 2024. But his passion for teaching is unstoppable to this day; he trained a batch of IAS Officers at LBSNAA, organized by Invest India. His blueprint for success is cited from the Bhagavad Gita: “Consistency is the key. Keep working very hard and do not expect results immediately,” reflecting the philosophy of non-attachment to outcomes.
